DEFINITION OF LAND
The definition of land is in a nutshell the solid part of the earth that is not underwater.
VACANT LAND
Vacant land implies no structures of significant value, unimproved, undeveloped, or raw. Some parcels are buildable while others are not due to the topography, land use, zoning and access are just a few examples. Improved land could mean utilities, driveways, sewer/septic, entitlements, etc. Whereas “undeveloped” generally refers to property without any improvements whatsoever.
AGRICULTURAL LAND
Agricultural Land generally refers to a property producing crops or raising livestock known as cropland or farmland.
RECREATION LAND
Recreation land is used for personal enjoyment and to provide relaxation in the outdoors. Some examples would be hunting, ranches, horse, camps, fishing, offroad riding, etc.
COMMERCIAL LAND
Commercial land would include property development into retail, restaurant, hotel, office, storage, hospital, warehouse, etc.
RESIDENTIAL LAND
Residential land generally refers to the use for where people shall live such as single-family homes, apartment complexes 1-4 units, condominiums, townhouses, cabins, tiny houses, mobile homes, etc.
MIXED-USE LAND
Mixed Use Land is how it sounds, a mixture of zoning such as commercial and residential on the same site.
