Brindle Monkey, Inc. is the parent company for Realty Professionals, JONES C0mmercial, Property Management Solutions and RENT OUR ROOF. Brindle Monkey is registered and licensed with the California Department of Real Estate as a Corporate Licensee, License # 01892221. The company, Brindle Monkey is used in a multitude of fashions, for our Real Estate Sales and Property Management divisions within the company, it holds the corporate license that we operate under, it receives the income and expenses, then distributes it accordingly.
How Did you get that name
One of the biggest questions we get is “How did you come up with that name”? Our corporations all have unique names, this one was a French Bulldog that we had named Lucky. Kevin imported him and two siblings from Russia because they has a very unique coloring, they were reverse brindle for a Frenchie. The coloring would be a normal brindle for other dogs in the Bull breeds, but Frenchies the brindle is a black with minimal color marking. Well Lucky became the little brindle monkey because he was a character.
We started with another name
When Kevin Jones first left Re/Max is was very sudden and began with the name of what we were already incorporated with. Kevin had been a Broker for about three years and his broker at Re/Max asked him to close his Mortgage company or leave her company. He asked what he was going to do with the incoming business and leads that steadily were coming in. She said that he could give them to her, he asked how much would she pay in a referral fee and her reply was nothing. Kevin being the guy he is and if you know him is almost never at a loss for words blurted out “Thank you, but no Thank you, I quit as of yesterday!”
I quit as of yesterday
Kevin had a background in the Automobile business, brief, but in those three and a half years did a lot and learned a lot! No pun intended. Kevin was able to sell cars and get promoted to management three months to the day. Managed three dealerships and make record sales as a salesperson and record sales as a whole in management.
So now what
Kevin was sitting in his chair for a moment pondering on what just happened. He then got up and told his wife, “Well I just just quit Re/Max” and his wife said, “Now what are you going to do?” Kevin got on the phone to the Department of Real Estate and they said if he operated under his own name, nothing needed to be filed, this was back in April of 2004. The corporation at that time was KEVIN JONES Real Estate and Loans so that is what the new business cards said in about 3 days! Shortly after that came JONES Commercial.
We were partners with another Broker Associate
It was always our goal to be on our own, just not right at that time. As partners we asked him and his wife to join us in the move but they decided to stay at Re/Max and we divided stuff up and we made our departure quick and smoothly.
A few years later
We decided to forge into the Realty Professionals name. It as not a quick decision, Kevin Jones had to fight for three years to get the name. Another Broker had the name secured but let the dba’s lapse and was going on a decade of non-use. The DRE inquired and after three years released the name and we have been running with it for many years now!
Property Management
After moving to Pismo Beach we began selling income property to investors and being the nice guy he is Kevin was doing several management functions for them. Finally he opened the management division of Property Management Solutions and RENT OUR ROOF on the Central Coast under Brindle Monkey, Inc.
